I understand that my consent to these provisions is given in consideration of the acceptance of this registration and for being permitted to participate in this event. I am a voluntary participant in this event and in good physical condition. I KNOW THAT THIS EVENT IS A POTENTIALLY HAZAROUS ACTIVITY AND I HERBY ASSUME FULL AND COMPLETE RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURY OR ACCIDENT WHICH MAY OCCUR DURING MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS EVENT OR WHILE ON THE GROUNDS OF CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN ZOO OR SHRINE ROAD, AND I HEREBYRELEASE AND HOLD HARMLESS AND COVENANT NOT TO FILE SUIT AGAINST THE CHEYENNE MOUNTAIN MUSEUM AND ZOOILOGICAL SOCIETY, ITS LOGICAL AFFILIATES AND ANY AFFILIATED INDIVIDUALS, ANY EVENT SPONSORS AND THEIR AGENTS AND EMPLOYEES, AND ALL OTHER PERSONS OR ENTITIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS EVENT (THE “RELEASEES”) FROM ANY LOSS, LIABILITY OR CLAIMS I MAY HAVE ARISING OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION IN THIS EVENT, INCLUDING PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE SUFFERED BY ME OR OTHERS, WHETHER SAME BE CAUSED BY FALLS, CONTACT WITH PARTICIPANTS, CONTACT WITH ANIMALS, CONTACT WITH FIXED OR NON-FIXED OBJECTS, CONDITIONS OF THE COURSE, STEEP GRADIENT CHANGES, WEATHER CONDITIONS, NEGLIGENCE OF THE RELEASEES OR OTHERWISE. If I do not follow all the rules of this event, I understand that I may be removed from the competition. I give my full permission to the Cheyenne Mountain Zoo and its local Affiliates and races and their sponsors and corporate sponsors to use any photographs, videotapes, audiotapes or other recordings of me that are made during the course of this event. I understand that this Waiver and Release may be stored electronically and agree that a copy is authentic and admissible as evidence in any future dispute or proceeding.

Cheyenne Mountain Zoo invites world class runners and families alike to join in the Run to the Shrine on Saturday, May 22, 2010. Both the 5K and the 10K options curve through the Zoo and some of the most stunning mountain scenery this side of the Rockies. The races conclude at the world class event venue, The Lodge at Moose Lake!

Scheduled for Saturday, May 22, 2010, the 10K run and 5K jog/run/walk begin at 7:00 am and 7:05 am respectively. Team relay races begin at 8:30 am. Awards and activities for the entire family will follow in the renowned Lodge at Moose Lake at 9:00 am. Registration includes FREE ADMISSION to Cheyenne Mountain Zoo on May 22, 2010. Those not participating in the run must pay Zoo admission to enter the Zoo on event day.

Online registration starts January 25, 2010 and closes at 5pm on May 20, 2010.
 
All proceeds from the event benefit Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.
